What was our task?
- We need to migrate sites from the old custom platform to the Laravel framework;
- We need to save all data and transfer all data from the old site to the new one;
- The customer asked to keep the current design and existing HTML layout.
Ultimately, the customer wanted a site similar in appearance and functionality, but already written on modern Laravel technologies.
Our working process:
- Firstly, we got detailed technical requirements and descriptions of the current admin panel from our customer.
- Then, we learned the criteria and estimated the project.
- After that, we wrote a project development plan and started our work.
- We saved current HTML layout (HTML, CSS, JS, Fonts) for all unique pages.
- We did Laravel Blade Templates and integrated HTML layout.
- We developed a comfortable admin panel and use BackPackForLaravel.
- Our client exported to XML all data from the old site. After that, we develop a module for importing XML.
- We developed functionality for importing Adobe InDesign XML and Word files.
- We have finalized the functionality of WYSIWYG Summernoute for the project's needs.
- We have implemented a large number of tasks to repeat the functionality that was on the old project.
- After development, our customer and testers tested 19 online magazines before launching into production.
- Launch.
